One big thing about moving by U-haul is that there's a limit to what you can take. Jen and I are clever packers, but we had to leave a lot behind - and now we're finding we have to fill a giant apartment with no furniture!

 I pulled the boards off the bottom (carefully, so as not to ruin the rest of the wood)

 Jen doing the first round of sanding. It was pretty rough, so we used a super coarse grit on most of it


 It's amazing how much a little sand paper can improve the look of bare wood!


 That Cover photo was a simultaneous project, an old TV stand we were converting for classier use!

 The is an electric engraver that Dad and I found in the garage recently, I've been itching to try it out ever since!


 Quick break


 Got the Home Depot legs on there, took some doing since all of my drill bits were too small, I had to eyeball holes I made with very small bits. Risky, but I managed it without a hitch (phew!)


 Ran the stain on a test board, to see if we wanted to do the whole thing that color


 The finished love seat, before the side cushions. It's super comfortable now!


 And, at long last, our very own custom coffee table!
